i never really understood this whole phenom… but just last week, my brother took my 9 yr.-old nephew to a cubs game… later, i asked him who won and how he liked the game.
all he could talk about was how the other team was “owned”. he didn’t just say it once, he used it over and over again repeatedly for about a half hour while describing the game. THEN went on to use it to describe some of the fight scenes in the transformer movie.
wtf??? this kid never leaves the house except to go to school or to go buy/rent video games. where the heck is he picking that up.
next time he uses it i’m gonna ask him how to spell it, what it means and where it came from.
Well. This always makes me laugh. I’m guessing the rarity would come from the lack of large record players in the US. The dude must have a warehouse.
This is almost as good as when our alderman was talking about the new Florsheim Shoe Factory building that was being turned into condos (thank you for saving it, it’s a great building). He was selling all the features of how great it was going to be on a PowerPoint deck projected on a huge gymnasium wall … you know, the granite counter tops, the parking, how affordable it is, and the 11″ ceilings. Being 2 of the only people under the age of 60 or having english as a primary language my girlfriend and i had a good laugh. In english.
I don’t know what a long-legged mac-daddy is but it sounds sweet. I love when races speak for whole other races. Church is an awesome place to speak about politics and tell people they are going to starve depending on who they vote for. Good thing they don’t pay taxes!
with the current state of affairs in the world — war, crumbling economies, global warming, conspiracy theories, genocide, etc. yahoo managed to point me to an msnbc earth-shattering story that made me feel ashamed to be an american.
with all the crap and remakes that hollywood has been pumping out all these years, i have to ask…what exactly were the writers striking about? were they refusing to watch older, better movies & tv to rip off?
what set me off, you may ask??? i’ll tell you.
the lindsay lohan series of photos that recreates marilyn monroe’s last photo shoot… so, what, now even photographers can’t come up with anything original either?
